Brandi Fenton Memorial Park This joint public/private funded master planning effort is being undertaken cooperatively by Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation; the Pima County Department of Transportation and Flood Control District; and a number of private partners with the assistance of Pima County Supervisor, Ann Day. The project will create a beautiful and functional recreation facility for neighbors and the entire community to enjoy for generations to come. Open space for the park was acquired through the Pima County River Bend Roadway Improvement Projects. Upon its completion, the park will be incorporated with the Rillito Linear Park. The master plan, created by Swaim Associates and McGann and Associates currently includes equestrian features, community gardens, an agricultural education center and soccer fields. The land upon which the park will be built has been designated a National Historic Landscape, and historic buildings within the park are available to be placed on the historic register. Depending on availability of funds, construction of the park is projected to begin in 2005 following the schedule of road construction in the area. Artist's Concept of Park (PDF)
