Craycroft Road, River Road to Sunrise Drive, Improvements

Design is currently underway on the section of Craycroft Road between River Road and Sunrise Drive. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2005. It is anticipated that construction would take approximately 18 months.

• Construction completion is expected to be Winter of 2007.

The improvements to the completed roadway will include:

2 lanes in each direction with a median between River Road and Sunrise Road

•

Craycroft Road/Sunrise Road Intersection Improvements

•

Realignment of Intersections at River Road/Craycroft Road and Craycroft Road/Calle Bosque/Territory Drive

•

Paved Shoulders

•

Continuous Pathway (ADA Compliant)

•

Retaining Walls

•

Drainage Improvements

•

Utility Improvements

•

Native Plant Preservation and Landscaping

•

Public Art/Aesthetic Treatments

•

Rubberized Asphalt Roadway Surface
  

In addition, special provisions have been made to protect, nursery, and replant native plants located within the project area and to provide native landscaping in areas where current vegetation cannot be saved.

Estimated Project Schedule

Right-of-Way (ROW) acquisition in Fall 2005 and continue into 2006

•

Construction would take approximately 20 months beginning in fall 2005
